I pay for 1000Mbps. I get 600 at the best of times. Frequently in the evenings I get massive lag spikes (>1000ms) in games.

I am 3 meters of open air between my PC and modem/router. LAN has full 10Gbps connectivity, and rarely any packet loss.

I assume that the result of 600 Mb/s is by a wireless test?

With a wireless connection you will never get the full result. You will always have loss with a wireless connection

Do you also game wireless? Because I would advise to always game with a cable.
