KPN can't seem to help me with the right APN settings for data on my phone

For over three years Ingave had issues with my mobile internet and my phone. KPN is doing less than little to help. 

I can't make calls so I can't contact them. I only get sent here. I walked to the store and they could not do anything. 

 

I need the APN settings because the standard ones that gets setup make mobile internet only work intermittent. And how can I get in contact with KPN when calling doesn't work? 

It's like they try and make getting in contact with them impossible.

The people in the store requested the KPN settings a week ago but I still haven't received them.

Sad to hear that you've been experiencing so much trouble with your mobile internet. Can you tell more about the settings that should have been requested in the store: what did they do? Usually you can be helped with the settings right away.

And to be able to help you with this here throught our community, can you tell me more: Is it about internet in The Netherlands via the KPN network or (also) about roaming outside of the Netherlands?

This help page on our website can help you with your APN settings, when you choose your mobile phone. I would think you can solve it that way. Can you try and let me know if it worked out that way?

Hi. 

I have now been able to find the APN settings my self so this is fixed. 

But I still cannot call or receive calls in the Netherlands and outside of the Netherlands (Sweden, UK, Norway, France etc). And I've had this issue for about three years now (since I signed up with you). The issues with calling is intermittent but lately I have been using my phone more than earlier and it seems like I cannot call or receive calls about 90% of the time. 

I also have issues with people sending me messages that I never receive. And sometimes when someone calls me I get a message saying I had a missed call but sometimes not. 

This is not an issue with the phone. I have had 4 phones from different brands and all have the same issue. It is also not a SIM card issue since I have already been sent 7 new SIM cards. When I had network issues the issue was usually fixed by turning off mobile internet and turning it back on. But for calling there seems to be no similar solution. I restart the phone and nothing changes. 

I am getting VERY tired with all these issues. And mostly in getting tired with not getting any help.

@Asmeh I can imagine that you're tired of the troubles, especially when you’re experiencing for a while now.

Good to read that you found the APN settings. Now the trouble with calling: it's a bit weird that you aren't able to call in the Netherlands as well as in Europe. This tells us that it's not a problem with the network and connection, because outside of the Netherlands, you’re connected to the local mobile network. So I would say it has something to do with settings, possibly in your phone. 

The fastest way for help with this, if the advices above don't help, is by making a call me back appointment throught another phonenumber. That way our customer service will call you back, check the settings for you and if needed, they can create a ticket for our technical support team.

APN: Internet 

Settings fof calling:

VoLTE: on

VoWifi: on

An iPhone 11 does not work on KPN Network. If you have an 11 replace it.
