How to bypass KPN router and dial the connection from my OpnSense firewall?

Hi all,

 

I just got the KPN box delivered. my contract is gigabit. I see that the kpn box (router) uses PPPoE to connect to KPN. I am trying to bypass kpn router and dial the connection from my OpnSense firewall. Unfortunately I can’t make it work. any guidance here?

I actually made it work. On my firewall :You need to create a vlan with the tag ID 6. Add the pppoe interface you are using to dial Kpn in that vlan then connect. Works like a charm.

I must admit that I don't really know how this exactly works. But, we do have a topic where experienced users might help with connecting your own router.

I actually made it work. On my firewall :You need to create a vlan with the tag ID 6. Add the pppoe interface you are using to dial Kpn in that vlan then connect. Works like a charm.
