I haven’t found clean mentions of how to get IPv6 work with fiber connection to UDM, so here are screenshots of working settings.

After setting that up and reconnecting to the WiFi, IPv6 test shows native IPv6 support for my laptop.

Alvast super bedankt, Gr Nico

IPv4 and IPv6 address can be seen at mobile KPN app → Internet → IP address.

In the internet, it can be found at https://mijn.kpn.com/#/producten/<your internet product id>/ipadres

Please let me know if you wouldn’t find it.

For the LAN settings I set “prefix delegation” and select “primary (wan1)” on my uxg-lite. this works. I see the ipv6 address as shown in my “my kpn” portal.

To see if it really works you need to visit https://ipv6-test.com in browser other than Safari (due to it’s Private Relay feature masking your IP and providing IPv6 address even if you don’t have it) and check if you have IPv6 “Supported”. and IPv6 Type set to “Native IPv6”.

This works! Thank you so much!

In the overview window on my Cloud Gateway Ultra Unifi console, the correct IPv4 address is listed, as handed out by KPN. There is no address listed under IPv6 though, even though I’m getting an 18/20 score on the IPv6 test site.

Does the unifi console show an IPv6 address for you?

No, because unlike IPv4, your devices inside the local network, including your laptop, are supposed to receive their IPv6 addresses, so there is no single address on the router. A prefix is allocated inside the network, and then each of your devices gets an address within that prefix.

Score on the test site doesn’t matter, what matters is shown on the screenshot above. If for you it looks similar, everything is set up correctly.

What @snake06 says works for me, no need to manually assign the LAN range. After turning on the WAN settings and Prefix Delegation under LAN a /64 out of the assigned /48 will automatically show up in the interface and addresses from this range will be assigned to devices on the network.

Most test are green on (in Chrome, my Firefox doesn’t like IPv6 for some reason)

Thanks a lot for the screenshots, @Cyzor! Your path is easier and works as well.

Thanks for the updates! Much appreciated!

Dank voor de guidance. Ik zie alleen in het Internet status scherm op mijn UDMSE niet dat KPN een IPv6 adres terug geeft of is dit niet relevant?

Same here. Alles werkt maar er staat geen IPv6 adres, al heb ik er wel 1.

It doesn’t matter; the only thing which matters is that when you connect to your WiFi, your laptop and phone get an IPv6 address. With this setup method, the router doesn’t have IPv6, at least not on the WAN interface.
