LAN speed limited to 100 Mb/s

I have a fun issue if I connect my PC to the KPN router via LAN I get 920mb/s but if I connect that same cable via a second router or a LAN splitter the PC the speed drops to 90mb/s on LAN.

The wifi is running at 700-800mb/s on the same LAN but the best I can get the PC is to 90mb/s.  I tried to adjust the Ethernet connections (speed & duplex) from Auto but I can only set it to 100 mbs not 1.0G as a value.

The link speed receive/transmit seems to be defaulting to 100/100 mbps if I run the LAN cable into any other device such as LAN/Splitter.

Then there is something in your network that has a maximum speed of 100 mbits. The switch, or something else for example. Because it’s not the PC, the modem or the Ethernet port

Hi @David Iwanow, what happens if you connect the PC directly to the modem?  So without a switch etc in between.

Greetings, so directly connecting PC to Lan gives full speed 1Gig link speed which makes it all very weird.
