What's best/easy way to install EdgeRouterX SFP?

hey skilled folks, 

I have bought an EdgeRouterX with SFP to replace the default KPN Sagemcom router. Now I am in doubt if I just plug the RJ45 into the SFP port of if I buy a fiber cable/adapter to install it direct from the media converter (from the KPN fiber to my router fiber port).

Once done, is there any official guide from KPN on how to configure another router?
