Do i need a special connector/cable to connect my KPN modem?

Hello,

 

I moved recently to Amsterdam Noord and I have moved my KPN connection to the new address.

 

I have the the Experia V10 modem that has a DSL connector.

 

The house has a coaxial connection from ziggo and a 4 pin connector supposedly for KPN.

 

Would I need a special connector/cable to start using the internet? Could you order it for me?

Hello @Yeral 

 

That called a “varkenssnuit” aansluiting, you will need a 4 pin plug like this for it:

 

You will also need a telephone cable with RJ11 connectors to connect the 4 pin plug to the grey DSL port of the modem.

If you do not have them, you can call KPN customer service 0800-0402 (Mon to Fri 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM and Sat 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM) and ask for them to be sent to you.

A KPN moderator on the forum can also send them to you but it can take up to 5 days before they respond in this topic, so calling the KPN customer service is the fastest way to get them.
