Huawei mobile wifi

Hi sorry I don't speak dutch but I was hoping I could get some help regarding huawei mobile wifi, model e5786. 

It was working fine but I forgot to charge it and the battery got used up. When I turned it back on it wasn't recognizing the sim card anymore. 

I tried to troubleshoot it best as I could and still no change. On screen it says "insert sim and restart" which I have done multiple times. 

Could I get any help with this?
