Hi,

I have purchased 4Gbps plan Internet only (in Rotterdam). Modem was delivered on 26th September  and The activation date is 27th of September but it's still not activated.

Contacted customer care several times but they are all saying for me to wait. Can someone please help. I need internet immediately.

Hi @Zeynepartagan, when the connection is active you normally receive an SMS. Sometimes this can be at the end of the day. If it still doesn't work tomorrow I would call again.

Unfortunately not, you have to call the customer service on 0800-0402. They can check if something went wrong and send a technician if needed. 


I want to make a complaint about KPN. Because everybody is saying that I need to wait or call another time and nobody gives me the information that I need or help me. I needed my internet to be activated. It shouldn’t be this hard. And even your system says that the activation date is set as 27th september 9pm. I am working at home and KPN put me in a very diffuse position. I expect an immediate solution and compensation from KPN for the internet that I have to pay extra from my phone. This is unacceptable!!!


Hi @Zeynepartagan, it's maybe good to know that on this forum customers help each other. And KPN moderators can assist when needed. I'm a customer just like you and I help people on here in my spare time. And I also work as a technician for KPN.  

 

On the day of the activation you sometimes need a little patience, because sometimes the connection works at the end of the day like I told you. The next day you still had no connection, so there is something wrong and you have to call the customer service. They are the only ones who can help you resolve this issue further. I'm curious what the customer service said when you called them. Because normally they can see that you have no connection and then they send a technician?


Hello @Zeynepartagan, if you do'nt have a connection on the start date of your subscription then something is wrong. It is ofcourse not normal, but unfortunate it happens. The fastest way to get a solution is to call with the customer service. 

@DaveA explained already why that is the best way to get your subscription started. 


I have been calling the customer service but everybody is telling me to wait. Apparently they forwarded the is issue to the relevant department and I have to wait for their reply. 
 

Even if everything works out eventually. I would like to make a complaint and I am hoping for a compensation for the issues KPN caused!
