I have some troubles with my internet connection. My modem restarts several time per day without any reason.

It is not connected with power line, cause the modem plugged in to the meter directly (I have a socket on it).

I’m experiencing the restarts ~10 times per day, and this only count of restarts that I noticed because I had a video conference at this time or I was using the internet connection somehow else. Probably the actual number of restart is greater.

The restart is tracked in logs and usually takes ~2 minutes to fully initialisation of the device. It looks like it’s “hard” reset of the device, cause internal clock is set to 01.01.2013 01:00:11 always and later upgraded to the current time correctly. The restart start has a log record as “The Modem has successfully powered up”.

It seriously affects my work, could you advice me how can I get a stable connection?

There restart log:

Hi @Thomas! I made a new topic here, didn’t get any suggestions or help there yet -

Would be nice if you will find some time to help me with it!

@AntonKV Welcome to our forum.

I see that the modem is restarting, but I don't see why yet. Is it possible that the adapter is not making good contact with the modem?

Or maybe the cable between the ISRA point and the modem isn't connection as he should?

Hi @Rutger_ !

Thanks for suggestions, I checked the power adapter and the cable between modem and ISRA point. Everything looks good, I tried to move adapter in a socket, power cable end on a modem side, DSL cable connectors … no issues were observed. Also I tried to plug the power adapter in a different socket for a day, the situation with restarts is the same - a number of restart during the day. Sometimes just ones per hour, sometimes two or even three times per hour. Can work well for a half of the day, but then starts restarting again.

So, I don’t see any causes that would explain it. Could you check the modem OS logs? The should be something in advance to what I see in web interface, where the modem just suddenly “powered up”.

Or may be you can give me some tips what to check in advance?

@AntonKV

Can you make a photo of your ISRA point and show it here ?

@tonymelony Sorry for the delay! Here is the ISRA point photo above. The problem with router reboots is still exist, unfortunately. What are the next steps?
