Hello KPN.

Already for a few weeks I have problems reaching .ai domain zone from my home when I am using my KPN Experia box LAN connection.

Anguillian web sites are not opening.
I also can not SSH to any machine which is located in Anguilla. Nor via domain name, nor via IP address.

But if I switch to 5G mobile connection (via my Android wi-fi Mobile Hotspot) everything works for me.

Bellow are sample outputs from "tracepath" and "traceroute" commands.
Those are clearly showing that my LAN connection for some reason is not reaching Anguilla, however mobile network is doing very well.

When I am on Experia box LAN or wi-fi:

I already tried few things with no luck:

+ Switched to Experia Box wi-fi instead of LAN
+ Restarted my Experia Box
+ Double checked all of the configurations in Experia Box admin console

I do not understand what is going on, please assist.

 

Hi ​@Veselin Penev welcome to the KPN Community. Did you manage to resolve this issue? What type of Experia Box do you have in use? Maybe you need to alter the security settings in the user interface of the modem. Do you know if received an update recently?

I have Experia Box v10 ZXHN H369A

Just double checked again all of the controls I have in the modem admin interface and did only found one setting related to security - is the firewall level. I switched it to “low”.

I connected my laptop directly to the Experia Box via LAN cable and did another test.

Tried to open www.polemap.ai in the Laptop web browser but that failed. However www.polemap.ai opens perfectly on my mobile phone  😫😥

How do I check the updates on my modem?

By the way, it was working fine for years and only recently Anguilla web sites stopped working for me! Like something about 2-4 weeks ago.

 


Which port do use to setup the SSH connection? Maybe you can switch it to another port to see if that results in a successful connection.


I was trying different SSH port numbers, Remco.

The problem was that I was not even able to open a norm websites hosted in Anguilla, not only SSH there. Basically signal from my home was not reaching this location… However mobile connection was working.

But somehow today I am able to do that again via LAN… Hope this will remain stable.
