Why is the guest network on Box 12 so slow?

KPN decided to limit Guest Wifi to 10Mbps and not allowing you to adjust it. People are complaining about it since at least 2 years and KPN doesn’t care. Even some people like me spent checking all settings, factory reset etc. spending hours maybe but KPN still doesn’t care about any user experience yet it’s the most expensive ISP in the Netherlands. Next time I won’t choose KPN.

Advice to KPN: At least put a note or warning in the Thuis app next to the Guest network that you have the unadjustable 10Mbps limit so that people don’t waste their valuable hours and get less pissed off.

KPN didn't ignore it, there finally is a new firmware version for the Box 12 (which they are very slowly rolling out) in which you can choose some values between 10 and 50Mbit/s or unlimited for Guest Wifi.

When you will receive the update also depends on whether you have extra KPN Wifi AP's.
So far, only the Superwifi 2 AP’s are supported with the new firmware, so if you got other KPN Wifi AP's you’ll have to wait until they also support them.
