Hi @Voy van Tec, welcome to our forum. What subtitles do you mean exactly? Some channels have their subtitels as a part of the broadcast as Peter mentions. Those can't be turned off, it's a part of the broadcast they provide us. Can you specify which subtitels you mean?

Dutch subtitles can't be turned off. Those are send with the picture by the stations.
