My phone broke while I was using an eSIM, now I have a new phone but I can’t install an eSIM in this one because it wants to send a code to my phone number, which of course does not work because my sim is in my broken phone

Hi @AidanB

Unfortunately you cannot activate an e-sim directly on the new phone.
You will need to request a new, replacement physical SIM card first.

I’m currently outside of the Netherlands, is there anything I can do?

You can order a replacement SIM card by phone as well: +316 12001200, but KPN will only send this SIM card to your Dutch address. Is somebody at home?

Hi @AidanB, welcome to the community. This happening abroad is very annoying I imagine! The only way to activate a new e-sim is by receiving a text message on the same number. With your old phone being broken, it can't receive this message. The only way is to request a fysical SIM like Ruud said. Since we are a Dutch ISP, we can only send it to Dutch addresses. If you can send it to your address, and ask someone to pick it up and mail it to where you are currently. That is the only way.
