Hello,

I ordered a SIM card from the website kpn.com.

It was delivered to me by a courier. The letter in the package says I should be able to install the SIM and use it right out of the box. But it's not working - the SIM is recognized by the phone, but shows "Emergency calls only". Rebooting my phone and re-installing the SIM didn't help. 

I tried calling to 0800-0402, but it's in Dutch - I can't understand anything :(

What should I do for my SIM card to start working?

I managed to connect to a support specialist on 0800-0402. I just needed to wait for a minute before it said "For English press 1".

For the SIM card to be activated, the delivery company needs to submit the delivery confirmation to the KPN system. The confirmation is not yet submitted in my case, that's why the SIM card is not working.

I'm glad you managed to contact us. 🙂 Is the simcard working now? 

If not, could you add the cellphone and simcard number to your forum profile and give me a heads-up here when you’ve done so?
Then I can check what the status is!

It's working now, thank you. I just had to wait till the end of the day for delivery to be confirmed by the carrier.
