I am working remotely with a server hosted somewhere . My laptop IP has been whitelisted to allow access to the server. On laptop restart, KPN Modem issues my laptop a new IP, and I need to raise a ticket for my new IP to me added to the server.

How should it be resolved

You can also assign a fixed ip on your laptop, preferably by setting this in the KPN router. But worst case *you will regret this one day if you forget* in the network settings on the laptop. Then choose the number that it was assigned to by the router.

Hello @rafayel

Is that server really checking on a local LAN IP address starting with 192.168.2 ?

Normally access is granted on the public IP address and that doesn't change after a restart of your laptop or even after restarting the KPN modem/router.

Are you maybe using a VPN service that receives a different IP address every time you restart your laptop?
