I have requested cancellations due to emigration and received confirmation email as well. But the subscription is not canceled and have been adding to my invoice every month.
Why is kpn so slow to respond? How can this stop ?

Hi @Suhas

May I know exactly how you did this? Did you fill out the form on our website and send the proof of emigration? Could you also share a screenshot of the confirmation that your cancellation has been processed?
I look forward to hearing from you.

Hello Alex,

Thank you for the information. What I see is that the submitted documents were not correct. It must be a PDF of an official document, one of the options listed below:

  • Proof of deregistration from your municipality

  • Your work contract

  • A declaration from your foreign educational institution

However, I also see that the two phone numbers have been out of contract since November 24 and December 3 of this year. This means you can cancel these numbers without providing proof, though there is a one-month notice period. You can contact us for this or schedule a callback appointment by scrolling down a bit.

Hello Alex,

thank you for responding. Could you please help me to cancel the subscription? I cannot call since I’m in my home country from past 2 months.
I had uploaded the deregistration document and work contract termination after which I had received the acknowledgement. Strange that it is not reflecting in your system. If you want those proofs again I can share them.
I would like to request your help to cancel the subscription including one month notice from the day I received the acknowledgment (screenshot shared earlier).

Thanks in advance for you help!

kind Regards,

Suhas

Yes, I would like to receive the proof again. I've sent you private message.

General remark for everyone, by a fellow customer:

In case of immediate contract termination with reason emigration KPN wants to see:

Proof of deregistration with the municipality

(proof of giving notice of emigration TO the municipality is not the same thing as proof of deregistration BY the municipality)

OR your employment contract abroad

(not the termination of an employment contract in the Netherlands)

OR a statement from your study institution abroad.

If the minimum contract term already lapsed, many times it just is easier to give the standard 30 days notice.
