Is it necessary to have the SuperWiFi wired directly to modem?

Question

My super wifi booster was showing in the KPN app when it was plugged into the modem directly,

I moved it and placed it in another room of the house where I want to boost signal and it does not show as connected.

The green light is on and it seems operational and is up to date as went through initial first time set up correctly.

Welcome to the community @BrynmorJ. It depends on which modem you have. If you have an Experia Box V10, the first SuperWifi needs to be connected via a cable. Subsequent SuperWifi's don't need to be connected via cable. Wifi on the V10 will also be off.

If you have a Experia Box V10a, a KPN Box 12 or a KPN Box V14 the first SupweWifi doesn't have to be connected via a cable. They can connect wirelessly.
