Netflix paid twice

Hello, it came to my attention that KPN/Netflix did not pair payments with my account correctly and were each charging me monthly (KPN since October 2023!) for one Netflix account (the same email address) for over a year! I had Netflix before I signed up with KPN but thought it would be easier to have all on one invoice. Big mistake... Not only that both Netflix and KPN continued charging me for the same service/account but now both are sending me to the other company for a refund request. I would appreciate some help with what seems to be a scam. Thank you.

I would like to check whether this is indeed being double-charged. Are you able to cancel the subscription via Netflix? May I know what you see when you log in to Netflix? Can you cancel it there, or are you being redirected to us?
Please let me know.

Hello Alex,

I am not sure what do you mean: do not intend to cancel subscription with Netflix (but I am sure it would be possible, if I wanted); and when I open my Netflix, I see my Netflix.  

As explained in my first post, I have been double-charged for Netflix since Oct 23 when I was offered by KPN to pay through my KPN subscription instead. Since, both KPN and Netflix charged me for the same account (email) and now both claim that this mistake is due to the other party who is to refund me. I had Netflix before signing with KPN. During my last call with KPN, customer service imediatelly discontinued the future payment through KPN and told me to contact  NETFLIX for refund because something did not pair. Netflix offered a conference call together with KPN, if KPN fails to return to me what they charged me and apparently never reached them.

I would really appreciate a solution. Happy to provide relevant payment screenshots or other evedence of double-payment.

Thanks for your reply, what I want to know is what you are seeing here: https://www.netflix.com/account/membership.

Are you seeing that you are paying directly to Netflix, or that you are paying through the KPN invoice as seen below?

Thank you for message. In the link I see that I pay direcly to Netflix. 

On my bank account and invoices I see that I also pay for Netflix to KPN. 

I hope I am addressing your question. Please let me know of you require firther information.

That's excatly what I wanted to know. We have 2 options. You can keep paying for Netflix to Netflix directly, or you can activate Netlix through KPN so that you will pay for the account through KPN. Right now you paying for that specific account to Neftix directly. You can vring your account to KPN by using these instructions. Please keep me updated.

Alex at KPN, why are you not responding to my question??? This is known issue with KPN reported by others, yet, you are proposing propesterous options. Is this some kind of delaying tactic or a joke?  Let me be blunt: I would like to know what did KPN do with the money they charged me monthly FOR NETFLIX since Oct 2023? Since Netfix continued charging me directly whole this time, I suspect that the money charged by KPN is simply witheld by KPN. Scam in my books. Therefore, I suggest option 3. when KPN returns the money I payed to KPN for Netflix between Oct 2023-Jan 2025. Like that I get my money back for the service KPN failed to provide and we can stop this chat! I am offering again the evidence of KPN monthly charge for Netflix. How does that sound? Thanks for response in advance!

Just to be clear, this is not the same issue as others reported, because you never activated your Netflix account through KPN, otherwise you would have seen it as in the picture below when logging into you account. This means your Netflix account has never been connected to KPN. Of course you will get your money back.
I just need to know what you would like to do now. Activate Netflix via KPN after all? Or cancel Netflix via KPN and continue paying directly to Netflix. We do not earn anything from this, it goes directly to Netflix regardless of whether an account is linked or not. Once I have an answer from you, I can possibly stop Netflix through us and reimburse you.

I trust Netflix through my KPN was already stopped by your KPN colleague during a call to KPN call center on this issue in January 2025. And, as also mentioned in my previous posts, no, I do not want to go back to paying Netflix through KPN (ever). 

Thank you for processing the reimbursement of the money I paid to KPN for Netflix as soon as possible. Please let me know when to expect it.   

Please also note that I was informed already that this ‘account pairing’ should have happened automatically, not requiring any action from me (as you are also implying in your response above) but for some reason it did not happen (like to others who reported the same issue)…
