Can I terminate my contract earlier, possibly with a penalty?

Hi.

 

I am going to move to a new provider. I see I have a 30 day notice period. I originally took out a 1 year contract and have had it for almost 3 years now

 

Will KPN be willing to cancel the subscription before the 30 days, I’m quite happy to pay for the service, but want to free up the line to move to the new provider faster.

I assume they new provider will use the same Fibre connection KPN currently uses. 

 

In that case call 0800-0402 (office hours) or use Schedule a call to cancel it earlier than the normal 30 days.

You can cancel early via a telephone appointment or by calling yourself, see this page: https://www.kpn.com/service/opzeggen-contact

Does the new provider use the same connection as KPN?
If it is a different connection such as coax or fiber and you now have something else like DSL, you are better off serving the 30-day notice period and having the new one connected via the other connection, it will not cost you anything extra.
If the new provider connects you a little later, you will still have internet in that case.
