Modem connected myself, can the signal be activated remotely?

Dear KPN moderators,

Last Monday (October 26th), I received the installation package for my new home internet and installed the modem myself. My requested start date was also October 26th.

The modem broadcasts a Wi-Fi signal, but there is still no external internet signal reaching the device. In the order status, I see a technician appointment scheduled for November 4th. Since all indoor equipment has been fully connected since October 26th, I would like to ask if the line/signal can be activated remotely from the exchange, or if an on-site technician visit is strictly necessary.

My details are linked via my KPN ID. Could a moderator please check this in the system for me?

Thank you in advance for your assistance!

Hi @doruk_k and welcome to our KPN Community. Welcome to KPN as well! Thank you for choosing us as your provider.

I can't see any data in your profile, but what is most often the case here is that the date the technician arrives is also the date the internet connection will be activated. The order will wait for that day so on the 4th of November everything should be working as it should.
Did the order confirmation or the technician confirmation not specify why a technician was necessary? We generally only send one along when something needs to be fixed or manually repaired, so I'm curious why one was scheduled for your order specifically.

You could also schedule a call appointment with us to check whether the mechanic is necessary. That way you can quickly walk through the options and see what can be arranged. 🙂
