My FTU was painted over

I’m about to move into a new apartment and attempted to install my ONT, but the FTU (TK-01) was painted over during the renovation and seems unusable.
The bottom fiber port is painted partially shut and the paint is thick enough to keep the ONT from sliding on properly.
How do I get this replaced so that I can continue with the installation?
I’ve tried to get help but it is impossible to find contact info on the KPN site.

    ​@hchc You can easily remove the layer of paint with a putty knife. The fibreglass connector is behind the blue cover inside the FTU and should not have been affected by the paint. As long as you can press the blue cover in with your finger, there’s no problem.

    Could you send a photo of the FTU and the painted area? I’m curious to see how much paint is on it. It also may help us determine whether you can safely fix it yourself or not.
