Good afternoon!

Since the lights on your modem stay on, that indicates that the wifi is not being shut off in the modem. It is much more likely that your wifi signal gets disrupted from one of the connected devices, this includes Superwifi. Try the following steps:

  1. Unplug all SuperWifi and remove the ethernetcables from your SuperWifi and your modem.
  2. Log in to your modem webinterface at mijnmodem.kpn (must be connected to your wifi). Your adminpassword is on the sticker on the backside of your modem.
  3. After logging in, find the setting that says “Wifi factory reset” or “Reset WiFi settings”. This will remove all your wifi settings and set your network back to it's original factory state.
  4. Physically reset your modem by pressing down in the very tiny reset hole above the white button until all the lights on your modem go off, and the power light turns red.
  5. Turn on your first SuperWifi. Press the reset hole on the back until the light on the SuperWifi blinks red 5 times, then let go. Repeat this for all SuperWifi.
  6. After a few minutes, your SuperWifi should show purple. Now connect the SuperWifi to your modem through ethernetcable and leave it like that for at least 60 minutes. After that, connect the next one for 60 minutes, etc.
  7. After 60 minutes the SuperWifi should be working normally again. You can now change your wifi name or password if you wish. Now start connecting your smart devices again one by one and make sure to check if the WiFi keeps working. If it doesn't; that's your culprit and probably needs to be updated. If everything works as it should now, the problem was in one of the SuperWifi extenders.

Bonus tip: I would advise logging in to your modem and going to wifi → extra wifi → extra wifi 2.4ghz to create an’ extra wifi network. Put all of your smart devices (thermos, vacuum, etc.) on this network instead of your normal wifi to avoid issues and malfunctioning.

Excuse my English, I tried to explain it as clear as I could. It takes some work, but it should get your network up and running again. Feel free to let me know if you have any questions or if this helped! :)

Good afternoon!

Of course it works perfectly fine when a technician comes by, it always does. ;)  Could you provide more information?

  • What kind of hardware do you use? (KPN Box 12, Experiabox V10, etc.)
  • Do you use any other wifi related equipment? (Extenders, routers, switches, etc.)
  • Do you use a lot of smart equipment? (Smart lightning, thermostat, robot vacuum, etc.)
  • What happens on your modem when the WiFi stops working? Do the lights turn off? Do they turn red?
  • Do you experience the same thing on ethernet cables, or strictly WiFi?

Hi,

We are using KPN Box 12, and we just reinstalled a new one a week ago to make sure the problem is not with the modem device.

We are also using SuperWifi (KPN brand)

We have about 10 smart equipments (thermostat, robot vacuum, arlo doorbell, TV, 3 mobiles, iPad, and 1 or 2 laptops.

When the WiFi stops working, the lights are still green as usual

We are not using ethernet cables at all, only WiFi
