Hello,

I am looking for alternative options to check data usage of KPN direct online package I have received. I have already tried/checked below options with information available online and on KPN forums. Hence appreciate if someone can suggest any other alternative to try.

I have received Alcatel wifi device operated by a sim card.

1> Alcatel link/wifi link app option:

the app is outdated and doesn't work on Android latest version which is discussed in one of the KPN forum. There is no option to use the app anymore. Although KPN sends the step in the manual with the device knowing the app is not an option anymore :)

2> Send sms or dial a number to get the balance. No option with my phone.

Hi @Nirmit, welcome to our community.

It’s very unfortunate to hear that sending an SMS isn’t possible either, but I’m happy to help. What you can try is logging into the router’s interface to see if you can find this information there. You can do this via 192.168.1.1, the password is: admin.!--startfragment>

If that doesn’t work either you can also update the credit in advance through our website: Volg je storing.

I hope this helps.

You can perform a physical reset using a paperclip on the tiny reset button (often under the battery) for several seconds while powered on. This will reset the password.

I was assuming you receiverd an Alcatel device, is this correct?

Yes, it is correct. However, I have got the KPN wifi setup done now so no need for the direct online package. This thread can be closed now. Thank you for your help.
