Hard to contact KPN for lost simcard

Hi,

I lost my KPN SIM card when I was installing esim for another card. I am losing my mind trying to contact KPN service. I cannot pass the conversation on any of the numbers, because it is all in Dutch and the bot assistant is useless, I cannot make a phone appointment for my foreign number. Because I am abroad, I can't go to a shop as well. I just want KPN to send me a new SIM. How can I contact them so that I can talk to a real person???

Thank you in advance.

Hello @Julia11xx, welcome!

I'm sad to read you have lost your sim. That is quite a difficult situation when you're abroad. As @PeterG said, a new simcard can only be sent to a Dutch address, not to an address abroad. That'd mean that if you order a new simcard, someone else has to send it to you. By the way, did you know that you can also order a new simcard online? You can do so here: vervangende simkaart. If you'd rather order it through our customer service, you can also do so via our socials: Instagram, Facebook of X. However, even customer service is not able to send the simcard to a different address.

So yea, I don't think sending a new simcard is the solution. I think it might be quicker and easier for you to install an e-sim. You can do this even when you no longer have a physical simcard. Follow the instructions here: E-sim installeren. We will mail you a verification code to verify that you're you. And then we will ask you to pay 1 cent via iDEAL to confirm your identity once more.

Hopefully this will help you.

A new sim will only be sent to your Dutch adress.

You can contact kpn via Facebook en X.
