My internet is terrible when using the mobile hotspot om my iPhone 12

Greetings! So, I am absolutely sure that KPN is the problem here, as everything works fine with other sim-cards. The problem: I am using my phone(Iphone 12) as a hotspot for my laptop. When I try to use websites, I am getting “the connection was reset” error extremely often. Discord does not work properly: either it is loading forever, or I just cannot join the call. I have read that the problem might be in IPv4/6 stuff, but I have no idea how to fix it. Everything works fine on the phone itself.  What should I try to do?

I found this on the kpn forum. Use apn internet4. See screenshot. I hope it will solve your problem. :-)

Hey @epicmouse, welcome! Very frustrating experience, I imagine. Let's see if we can get this sorted. I'm going to start with a few basic questions. To get that stuff out of the way and get a baseline.

  • Are you experiencing this on multiple locations, or at specific ones?
  • How is the mobile signal in general in those areas?
  • Have you tried restarting the phone?

First, I managed to deal with the problem, but not in the ideal way. Using cloudflare WARP erases all the problems and makes the hotspot usable, BUT it is a bad thing that I need to download an additional resource to deal with the problem.

Second, I do experience it on multiple locations. Mobile signal is fine in general. I tried restarting my phone, I tried deleting and downloading apps, I tried resetting my network, and some other things I do not remember anymore. As stated above, using VPN-like apps does help.
