TP Link mifi router doesn't work with KPN simcard

I have the exact same problem with a similar tplink model! It works with other sims, but not with KPN.

I've gotten an answer to my problem in this post. I didn't understand why though. Apparently I had to force the access point to be ipv4 only and I also had to change von name, otherwise the speed would be extremely low. Any explanation?
