When will KPN introduce 5G standalone?

Welcome to the KPN community.

It is currently unknown when KPN will activate 5G stand-alone on its 5G network.

KPN is currently still fully engaged in further improving its 5G network, and in doing so, is rolling out the fast N78 band (3500 MHz) across all cell towers.

As soon as that is done, KPN will likely proceed to convert the 5G network to 5G stand-alone.

However, keep an eye on the KPN website and the KPN community in the coming period, as this will be announced there.

The fact that a provider in Belgium has already activated 5G stand-alone is separate from the path KPN is taking in this regard.

There are still many mobile networks in Europe that do not yet offer 5G stand-alone either, so KPN is certainly not lagging behind in that respect.

I hope KPN launches soon as possible. With 5g standalone we have a lot of benefits. KPN has everything to set 5g standalone already running. 

A lot of country's have it already.

Germany, Belgium, Luxemburg, France, Portugal, Spain a lot of them. I hope KPN do it fast. 

We can save more battery, dedicate frequency, a lot of benefits. 

Since 'we' are talking about countries. 

Does Vodafone or Odido have 5G stand alone?

Then why bashing kpn.

I am not criticising nothing.

I just want to know if kpn is gonna have.

In the Netherlands, 5G is not yet active stand-alone on any network, not even on the mobile 5G networks of Odido and Vodafone.
Although rumors occasionally circulate that Odido is working on it, nothing is mentioned about this anywhere on Odido's website, so it remains a rumor without official confirmation from Odido.

KPN will definitely launch stand-alone 5G, but it has been postponed to a date yet to be determined.

KPN is fully engaged with its 5G network, so keep a close eye on the news; that is the only thing you can do for now.
It will happen eventually, but it is unknown when.
