Your SIM is not supported

My old phone has a normal SIM card, the new an eSim, when setting up, I get the error “The SIM in your old iPhone does not support eSIM transfer. Contact KPN NL for assistance”

Are you trying to transfer your apps and setting with the Apple transfer tool?
That doesn't work for a KPN e-sim or sim to e-sim.

You'll have to use the MijnKPN app to install it on your new phone.

If you can't get the e-sim working maybe it's easier to go to a KPN store or call the KPN customer service 0800-0402 (mo to fr 08.00 - 18.00, sa 08.00 - 17.00).
