Prepaid; charges for the internet consumption without being used in the EU

I have a problem with the KPN Prepaid. It keeps charging me for the internet data even though the mobile data is switched off and the phone shows no consumption for this card in the settings.

I have double sim in my iPhone - KPN Prepaid and a foreign SIM. For the internet, I use only the foreign SIM. KPN Prepaid’s mobile data is switched off as well as Allow Mobile Data Switching (iPhone). In addition, I put some random data to the Mobile Data Network settings to prevent KPN from connecting to the internet. The phone itself also shows that from this SIM card, no internet is used at all (in total 60.4 KB consumption). Also, Data Roaming for this card is also off. So, the phone doesn’t allow for any data consumption from the KPN Prepaid.

Despite that, while in the Netherlands and other EU countries, the KPN Preapid app keeps showing me regular consumption of the internet (sometimes 2 MB, sometimes 140 MB but it’s fairly regular at every time of the day and night). It results in small charges 0.01-0.02 EUR consumption almost every day.

Importantly, I’ve just come back from a trip from outside the EU (an Asian country). While I was there, finally, the KPN Preapid didn’t consume any data at all even though the settings on the phone were exactly the same and I had the KPN Preapid SIM on. So, The KPN Prepaid consumes data only when in the Netherlads and the EU, I believe.

It’s not a really big issue but it’s fairly annoying as the charges are for something that I don’t use. The charges also don’t seem to be stemming from the iPhone’s wrong settings or phone’s faulty structure. From the fact that the phone shows no consumption for this card in the settings, and that the card didn’t consume any data while outside the EU, I believe the problem lies only within the KPN itself, and not the phone.
