Hi, we have a house with 2 floors and we put a super wifi not connected via cable at the first floor. It worked fine until today when I saw the light had suddenly gone purple. I read other messages about it not configured correctly but this device suddenly gone purple. What are the steps to bring it back?

Thanks in advance for your reply!

Hi @A C, welcome to our community.
Do you have a black SuperWifi?

If your SuperWifi 2 is connected to a KPN modem, the purple light will disappear after a few seconds once SuperWifi 2 has received the correct configuration from the modem. If this doesn’t happen, connect it directly to your modem with a cable without any other equipment in between (such as a switch, wireless connection set, etc.). After a few minutes the configuration will be loaded and the SuperWifi 2 will turn green.

If that doesn’t help you can completely reconnect the SuperWifi. Follow the steps below, but try the steps above first.

  1. Turn off all SuperWifi units and remove any ethernet cables.

  2. Turn on the first SuperWifi unit and let it fully start up.

  3. Reset that first SuperWifi unit (hold the reset button until it flashes red several times) and let it fully start up. After a while the light will turn purple (factory settings). Since there’s no cable connection this SuperWifi unit can’t communicate with others and is therefore isolated.

  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 with the second SuperWifi unit (and then with any additional units). Leave the ethernet cable out for now. All SuperWifi units should now show a purple light.

  5. Reset the KPN modem (hold the reset button until all lights start flashing). Let it fully restart (give it 15 minutes).

  6. Now connect the first SuperWifi unit to the modem with an ethernet cable. The SuperWifi unit will now install and pair with the modem. Give this process time—leave the SuperWifi connected for half an hour. If installation succeeds the light will turn green. After disconnecting the ethernet cable the light should remain green (after 1–2 minutes of red).

  7. Repeat step 6 with any remaining SuperWifi units.

  8. You can now place the SuperWifi units around your home as before.
