KPN did not terminate my contract in time and charged me an extra month

On 28-11-2024, I filled a form on KPN website to cancel my subscription. I received an email from KPN that my subscription will be cancelled in 1 month. However, it was not.

I had to call the customer service on 13-01-2025. They confirmed that I applied to cancel the subscription on 28-11-2024. She said the subscription will be cancelled on 13-02-2025. I told them not to send me an invoice for January 2025, since KPN’s failure to process my request is not my problem. Short moment of silence, and she said “I cancelled your subscription”. However, a new invoice is sent and KPN took my money from my account.

 

So, return my money, its not yours…

Today I received another invoice from KPN. This must come to an end! I have a written proof that my contract had to be ended in the end of December. KPN did not process the request. They sent me an invoice in January, took the money from my account, and now they are sending me another invoice.

Wondering why KPN employees ignore this topic ?

Hi ​@SysArc, welcome to our community! This community is intended for customers to help eachother.

When you cancel your subscription it is  normal you'd pay an extra month which you'll get refunded on the final invoice. If that's the case it's simply a matter of awaiting that invoice.
If the cancellation date is wrong in our system my colleagues might have to manually refund you the difference. That would also show up on the final invoice.

I cancelled my contract in the end of November. KPN did not cancel my contract as they claimed in the email I received from them. I had to call them, paid lots of money for a call as I am out of EU. They said they will cancel the contract for the second time. Contract is cancelled in February. KPN CHARGED ME THE FULL AMOUNT FOR JANUARY AND FEBRUARY. I see on an invoice I received yesterday that only less than half subscription cost of February will be returned.

→ KPN DID NOT STOP MY SUBSCRIPTION IN TIME AND IT IS NOT MY PROBLEM!

→ I HAVE EVIDENCE IN MY MAILBOX THAT I REQUESTED STOPPING MY SUBSCRIPTION IN THE END OF NOVEMBER!

→ I ALREADY CALLED KPN FOR FIXING THIS. THEY SAID I’LL RECEIVE AN INVOICE THAT IS RETURNING THE AMOUNT. BUT I ONLY GOT THE INVOICE FOR LESS THAN HALF OF FEBRUARY. 

→ I DO NOT HAVE TO CALL KPN AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AS I LIVE OUT OF EU AND CALLS ARE NOT FREE.

→ KPN TRIES TO STEAL 1,5 MONTHS OF SUBSCRIPTION MONEY FROM ME!

 I AM GOING TO ESCALATE IT IF YOU DO NOT RETURN MY MONEY!

→ SO, RETURN MY MONEY!

If you didn't receive the full amount from the end of November onwards I assume something went wrong.
