I signed up and purchased a modem, but the wifi is still not working

Hi there - I moved into a new apartment in De Pijp and registered with KPN for internet and wifi. I’ve set up the modem in the apartment and still cannot get the wifi to work. I’ve followed the instructions exactly, and for two months now have been unable to get it working, or get in contact with KPN. I’ve also tried to book the person to come and assemble but it didn’t get confirmed.

What might I be missing here? Anything I need to do to activate my account after the modem is working? Really need to get this sorted asap or will have to switch provider.

Please consider scheduling an installation technician, as it appears that the connection point shown in your photos is not the official KPN access point. This access point is essential for establishing a stable connection. You can contact KPN at 0800 0402 for assistance.

Internet is blinking, and the wifi and power are permanently green. My phone and laptop can connect to the wifi but it doesn’t actually work once connected

If your internet light keeps flashing, it generally indicates that your connection isn’t working at all. Could you let us know what type of connection you have—fiber or DSL?

I think it’s DSL, please see attached. I also added a picture from the modem incase I’m doing something terribly wrong.

The wifi provider was different prior btw, but I’m switching to KPN. Should it still work automatically or needs to be set up differently?

Cheers,

Does internet work when a device is connected with a cable to the modem?

No clue, as I don’t have a cable to connect my laptop or phone to try it out

The main cable is typically located in the utility closet or near the front wall of the house. The DSL cable is blue, while the fiber optic cable is orange. If possible, could you provide a photo of the main cable?

I’m not sure what the ‘main cable’ is, but attaching more pictures below. I’ve added a picture of a cable that was attached to the previous wifi box (a different company). And also a picture of the wall (front of the apartment). Anything else I should be doing let me know.
