KPN PS5 Promotion not fulfilled after over 7 months of singup

Over 7 months ago, I saw a PS5 promotion deal on KPM for a 2-year contract. I signed up, and everything was fine until KPN did not send the PS5 after 3 months.

I phoned KPN twice over the past three months, and both times they said the issue should be resolved within two weeks, as the company responsible for sending the PS5 is where the problem lies.

At this point, I feel I was scammed into taking the deal, and now that I'm a subscriber, KPN does not seem to care about following up and ensuring I receive the PS5. They are not fulfilling their end of the contract. So I feel robbed. I will keep calling, but I will get tired if nothing happens. Please advise if I have grounds to cancel the contract, since technically KPN has not fulfilled their end of what they lured me with.

Ruim zeven maanden geleden zag ik een PS5-aanbieding op KPN voor een contract van twee jaar. Ik heb me aangemeld en alles leek in orde totdat KPN na drie maanden de PS5 niet verstuurde.

Ik heb KPN de afgelopen drie maanden twee keer gebeld en beide keren zeiden ze dat het probleem binnen twee weken opgelost zou zijn, omdat het probleem bij het bedrijf ligt dat verantwoordelijk is voor de verzending van de PS5.

Op dit moment heb ik het gevoel dat ik ben opgelicht en nu ik abonnee ben, lijkt KPN er niet om te geven om de zaak op te volgen en ervoor te zorgen dat ik de PS5 ontvang. Ze komen hun contractuele verplichtingen niet na. Ik voel me dus bestolen. Ik blijf bellen, maar ik word er moe van als er niets gebeurt. Kunt u mij adviseren of ik gronden heb om het contract te annuleren, aangezien KPN technisch gezien hun deel van de overeenkomst die ze mij hebben voorgespiegeld, niet is nagekomen?

Hi ​@tyrams and welcome to our KPN Community. I'm sorry to read that it's taking so (extremely) long to get your PS5 to you. 😕 You've been incredibly patient and I understand that you’re frustated with having to make calls about this continuously. 

You’re definitely not being scammed. If you’ve asked for the PS5 as your welcome gift and it is on your order confirmation then you have every right to receive it. I've never seen it take this long, so I'm curious about what's happened here. 

Sidekix is the company we work with to deliver the PS5, have you had contact with them about this already? They can be reached on 088-6237006 during business days/hours. 
If the problem lies with them then they should be able to clarify what's happened and, more importantly, how/when they’ll solve it so that you know when you'll receive your PS5. 

If calling them didn't work, can you give me more details on what's been discussed? Have you already received the voucher code to order the PS5, or has that one not been sent yet? 
If you could also then fill out your Community profile then I can take a look and see what's been noted so far by my colleagues.

Hi,

Thanks for your response and for sharing details of the company handling the delivery. I will try contact them. 

I did not receive any voucher code for the PS5. The last two times I spoke to a KPN representative over the phone, they said that they would investigate with the company that handles the delivery and that I would hear from them within 2 weeks. Both times, they told me the same thing. It seems the problem is with Sidekix. Now that I have the company name and number, I will contact them. 

If you can, please also check with your colleagues what the current status is. It is just sad that I have to go through all of this without getting anywhere. KPN, as a service provider, is really good; it’s just this campaign that is not really managed well. I hope it gets fixed soon.

You’re very welcome! How did the contact with Sidekix go? Did you get any clarification on what the status is now? 

If not, could you fill out your community profile with your address and the date of birth of the subscriber? Then I can at least check what has been done already on our end and what other options we now still have. 
If you leave a reaction here after you’ve filled out your profile then I can investigate. 🙂

But hopefully Sidekix has provided you with a good answer. 🤞🏻 I'm curious about what they’ve said.

Hi Sanne, 

Thanks for checking with me, I took your advise and called Sidekix, they found my account, and said that on their system it says they sent me an email with a voucher on 25 June 2025, but I did not get that email, I searched through all my mails and confirmed I never got it.

 
They resent it while I was on the phone line, and I got it but the voucher link had already expired since it was created last year June. 

They then said they will go and find a s solution to give me another voucher, they said I should hear from them within 5 working days. I must say they were very nice and really sought to help. So thanks for advising me to call them. 

I updated my profile. Feel free to check on your side as well.

I'm glad they’re really working to try and find a solution with you! I hope you'll hear back from them within those two working days and I hope a solution will present itsself then. Will you keep me posted?
