Some apps on smartphone don't work anymore after Box 12 update

Hi,

KPN released an update for the KPN box 12 a few days ago and from that moment some apps on my Smartphone don't work anymore, there is no connection on the smartphones to some specific apps (Rabo, Plex, Bitvavo etc..)

I have spent 4 hours today with the customer service on the line trying to understand how to factory reset the modem and it seems not possible. I deleted everything manually bit the new UI isknow  full of bugs, for example if you assign an IP of the DHCP to a device, it's not shown in the list but it still says "reserved" in the main page.

I was able to reset the devices and I reconnected all of them (about 40 items in my house use internet) but the problem is still there. The internet connection seems filtered for specific apps on the smartphones.

This was not happening before the update.

I would like to have a solution. The customer service didn't even know how to factory reset the modem which is disappointing.

Has the latest update enforce the firewall of the modem? If I disable it (if it's possible) will the problem be fixed?

I need internet to work and if this problem is not solved soon I will be obliged to cancel my KPN subscription.

Regards,

Emanuele

@EmanueleDB Hi Emanuele, I'm sorry to hear that you experience difficulties with some apps since the update.

If you are having trouble with some apps or maybe websites, it can be helpful to turn IPv6 off in the settings of your KPN Box 12. We expect it to improve in a future version of the software. You can find more information about the update you got as well as how to reach the settings in this Product Update about the new software below. It is in Dutch, so I hope you're able to translate it!
