My MijnKPN account is hacked, what to do?

Dear team, 

I need an urgent help. My KPN account is hacked and it's user id is changed. So I can not login to my KPN account and change my password anymore. All the sensitive information (name, address, iban number etc) are exposed right now. I have tried to contact customer service but earliest appointment is today at 16:00. 

Can you suggest me what can I do?

Welcome to the community ​@Akp2204. if the callback appointment doesn't have a suitable time, it's also possible to call us at 0800-0402.

Before that, I suggest you create a new KPN ID, with a different mailaddress and a different password and link your subscription(s) with that. By doing that, they won't be able to see your details anymore.

I also highly recommend activating 2FA on the new account, to further prevent this in the future.

Exactly that is the problem. I have recovered my account. But his account still exist: 

 

 

KPN ID gebruikersnaam gewijzigd
Je hebt je KPN ID gebruikersnaam gewijzigd in x20kpn1gx59@bytebusters.ca.
 
So even if I recovered my email address and unlink all other addresses: he has my all informations which can be edited/change.

Have you recovered your account and reconnected your subscription to it? It's important to change your password after that to something you don't use anywhere else and activate 2FA. After you've done that you can add your customer number and your KPN ID address to your profile and give a heads up here. With that we can try to link it your account and make it unable to be linked to another account.

Yes, I recovered my acccount. I also asked KPN to cancel all other accounts and keep only one (my wife's KPN ID) related to my address. I set two factor authentication. I also deleted the KPN account which was compromised. So now in my knowledge there is only one account attached with my address.

That sounds good. Since you created a new account, can you add the new KPN account to your profile as well? You can add it to 'Persoonlijke opmerkingen’. With that I can request to lock the link to that account, so no one will be able to link it to a new account.
