I brought a second Samsung tv with Tizen OS for my bedroom. I get this error when trying to watch any content on the tv. The KPN app loads fine. Before i had a Philips tv with a chrome tv box and this worked fine in the bedroom. 

I have another Samsung tv, slightly older model downstairs which works fine.

Both connect to 5Ghz wifi band.

I have a Fritzbox with fibre and tp link repeaters in the house

I also have a Samsung S9+ tablet with the KPN  app on and this works on any wifi channel, repeater.

What is the problem and is there a fix?

Your Philips had Android-TV for apps. That's ok. Allthough a current new Philips now no longer has that. 

There are problems with the app on a Samsung. Several attemps to fix this were not succesfull. 

Use the receiver with a Samsung. With Tizen there are problems with the current app. Unsolveble. The browser of the Samsung doesn't find the url's.

With an Android-TV or Google-TV systeem it works fine.

Of you're still within 14 days of purchase you may asked the shop to switch to a tv with Android-TV or Google-TV.

I use a Chromecast Google-TV 4k stick on my Samsung.
