MB sharing expires in 30 days?

Hi,

I am a new customer in KPN. I have two new kpn mobile subscriptions. One has unlimited data and other one has 0. I am sharing data from one to other. I have realized that the shared bundle expires in 30 days. In this case, if a month has 31 days, there is 1 day gap after the old bundle expires and new bundle is available. Isn’t this ridiciolus ? Is there any solution for this ?

Hoi @cnrbzkr

Welcome to the KPN community.

A very good question from your side, and also a logical question, which I would like to answer for you.

If you share MBs between your KPN Unlimited subscription with the KPN subscription with 0 GB, then that continues with that one extra day in months with 31 days.
So take July and August as an example, both months have 31 days, then the transferred number of MBs to the 0 GB subscription also remains valid for 31 days, the system automatically takes that into account.
The transferred shared MBs therefore remain valid until the 31st of the month, after which on the 1st of the month you can automatically or manually share your new MBs again.

Hi @Michel.uit.Arnhem

Thank you for prompt response. I see how system works, however it was not the case for me. Let me give me the example with the dates. My bundle is renewed every 3rd of the month. I got the subsciption at the 1st of July and immediately shared the MBs to the subsciption with 0 GB. I saw the information that ‘it will expire tomorrow’ which 2nd of July. And at the 2nd of July, that data was not able to be used anymore. We had to wait for today’s morning to use the data again because my bundle was renewed this morning.

Was it because I did it for the first time ? Will it be automatically fixed next month?

Hi @cnrbzkr

Indeed, this is only at the first time. “Subscription start” and “invoice period” are two different things with KPN. Your subscription started on the 1st of July, but your monthly invoice period starts on the 3rd of every month. So on the 3rd of August you will receive the next montly databundle. Then you can share your data (automatically) with the other subscription. This data will expire at the end of your monthly period.

Hi @RBxx

Thanks for your addition to TS, I agree with your words, I couldn't have put it better myself.
Hopefully everything is clear to you now about sharing MBs @cnrbzkr .
