Mobile number isn't converted to Prepaid, got cancelled

I have asked KPN to change my phone from post paid to prepaid. However, today I woke up on a message saying that my phone number is cancelled!! I am abroad and with no network at all after receiving the email from KPN that my phone is  cancelled. I let my friends talk to you on the phone for more than 2 hours with no solution from your side. One person said I need to recharge my phone, I cannot do so cause I do not have a service, the phone number is not accepted when I try to top up it. Because of you now I am in a big trouble and not reachable on my phone and no one is able to support me while it is purely a mistake from your side! Who asked you to cancel my number? How can you do that? How will I be able to solve this being abroad? I need the number to be reachable and there is nothing you do to support and not even being responsible for your mistake!!!

 

KPN cancelled my number without my permission !!

Hi, for this issue i will reccomend calling to the customer service (0800-0402) or going to a KPN store. They will be able to make a ticket so your phonenumber can be saved. This way it can be put on a prepaid simcard.

I called them but every time they say something different and no one was able to solve my issue. I asked a friend to support and  go to store since I am not in NL at the moment.

Thanks! I have tried to call on the number you provided  ut its in dutch. I waited till the end and then the call ended automatically. Do you know how I can get the an agent with that number?

The callrobot will ask you to say what your question is. If you say "i want to speak with an eployee" the robot will patch you through. Otherwise you can make a Belafspraak (call appointment).

Hello ​@Dania bisher, i am really sorry for who wrong this went. First we re-activate your mobile subscription. When the re-activation is finished, your number will be converted to Prepaid.

thanks. I got an enail that my number is active now. However, I still dont have network. Can you check why my simcard is not active?

I can't see a reason why your simcard does not work. Restarting your phone can help with this, because the simcard got activated again.

Hi ​@Jeroen van KPN ,

 

I got an email that my number will be changed to prepaid on 25th of april. Is it possible to cancel this request and keep the line as postpaid? Last time I had a convo with KPN agent on the phone, I requested to keep the line as postpaid. Also, any idea why is it going to voice mail when someone calls me? My phone is not on do not disturb mode.

The request to change your subscription to Prepaid will be terminated. The subscription will not be changed anylmore.
