Mobile phone can't receive incoming calls or text messages

Hello! I have a question. I just noticed that I can’t receive any calls or SMS messages from others, but I can still make calls and use mobile data. Why is this happening?

Sorry to hear you're unable to receive incoming calls or text messages. Let’s try to fix this together:

  1. Check connectivity: Ensure airplane mode is off, you have network signal, and your SIM card is properly inserted.
  2. Block settings: Make sure features like “Do Not Disturb” or call/message blocking aren’t enabled on your phone.
  3. Test the SIM: Place your SIM card in another phone to see if the issue persists. This will help identify if the problem is with the SIM or the device.
  4. Reset network settings: Restoring your network settings can solve some connection problems. Keep in mind this will erase saved Wi-Fi networks and Bluetooth devices.
  5. Contact KPN support: If the issue continues, please get in touch with KPN Customer Service for further assistance. You can make a callback appointment for this, on a date and time that suits you best. Click on the following link: schedule a callback request

Hi ​@filmfeta , That is not as it should be. Have you perhaps made a recent change such as changing providers with your number? Sometimes things go wrong and customers of the old provider can no longer reach you.

Hello! Thank you for your quick reply. I just renewed my contract with KPN for another year, including a mobile device. I’m not sure if this is relevant, as I was receiving calls and SMS messages normally just a week ago.

No, renewing your contract with KPN is not what I referred to. That should not cause your problem.

However, transferring a contract with number from Vodafone, for example, has caused this problem for a number of customers here in the KPN Community.
