Unable to use free data bundle, due to broken fibre cable

My wifi was affected due to a broken fiber cable, as a result i was given a free data bundle on my mobile...Even though I received the message on my phone that free data bundle is activated, the data usage kept charging my calling credit until it became 0, then the mobile internet stopped all together. Bad service, what a shame...😕

Thank you for your message! I completely understand your question. Unfortunately, it’s not possible to add a bundle to a prepaid number. The free data bundle is only available with a KPN subscription.

With prepaid, you can of course still purchase and top up your own data bundles.

Hi ​@RoyRo and welcome here. I’m sorry to hear you had this problem. To fix it, I suggest you make a callback appointment with our customer service. Then we can add a free data bundle to your KPN Mobile subscription. I’m sorry for the trouble.

It does not work as I have KPN prepaid number. Don't understand why KPN cannot provide free data bundle on prepaid number

Today is 7th day and the issue is not fixed. I have heard KPN provides portable wifi devices in such cases. Where can i request one?

Sorry to hear that the issue still hasn’t been resolved — that’s of course not what we want. In this case, it’s best to contact our customer service. They can check whether you’re eligible for a temporary (portable) Wi-Fi device. The easiest way to do this is also by scheduling a callback appointment, so you don’t have to wait on hold.
