My KPN Box 12 won't update firmware

Hello there,

So I have a new fiber connection and Box12 is installed. The thing is I need WPA3 but it’s not available on my current firmware SGEJ1000060E. I read elsewhere that it should auto upgrade it at some point but it’s been more than 2-3 weeks and nothing happens.
Furthermore I from the KPN mobile app I  cannot do anything because it doesn’t detect that I’m on a KPN network(WIFI) at all. That is what the mobile app says.

I’m afraid that in your case the modem will not automatically migrate to the latest firmware. We will need to give it a little push, as the intention is for your modem to move to KPN Software.

Could you please complete your Community profile with your last name, postal code, house number, and date of birth? That way, I can have you added to a list so this can be arranged. Please note that this process may take a few days.

In the meantime, you can still use the KPN Thuis app. I’m not 100% sure whether it is still available in the app store, but you can check that. Otherwise, unfortunately, it will be a matter of waiting a few days.

Please let me know once you have filled in your profile.

I have done it. 
What do you mean by move to KPN software? So now it has an older outdated non-KPN firmware?

Thank you for completing your profile. I have now added you to the list to have your modem migrated to the new firmware, called KPN Software.

At the moment, your modem is still running the factory firmware that we initially used. For the past two years or so, we have been managing the firmware ourselves, and we will continue developing it further. That is why it is better for you to be migrated to this version.
