Prepaid SIM not registering overseas

I am visiting Asia (Japan) and my prepaid SIM card will not register with any network. I have credit. I have reset everything on my phone. I have tried my SIM in another mobile phone. It does not register.

Is that usual that a prepaid SIM will not register in Japan?

MOST IMPORTANT: How do I ensure that my account is not closed or my SIM is not deactivated before I return to the Netherlands next week?

Hi, that's unfortunate. If you're phone is able to connect to the local network you should be able to connect with a KPN simcard. Did you try to connect to a different network manually? When was the last time you topped up your credit? It should stay valid for at least six months. Could you fill out you're profile with you're mobile and simcard number?

Hi @mrpsm . I checked the number in you're profile and it is still valid. When are you planning to return to the Netherlands and did you manage to connect to the local mobile network?
