That was earlier. That’s not possible anymore. 

I have plugged in my mobile phone card abroad. I may not go back until a year later. Will my mobile phone card fail?

Yes. The prepaid number will be gone. You can send your simcard to a friend in the Netherlands of you want to keep it. Then must that friend do the activation.
