Contract cancellation - no internet service

Below is the email I've sent to opzeggen@kpn.com. Hope it's processed amicably!

I have not had internet connection (and TV) for 10 days at my place due to some issue with cables about which I'm not even being clearly communicated to.

I work from home and we just had a baby in the last 2 weeks, and it's been an absolute nightmare without internet. It's an essential service these days comparable to water or electricity and the customer service has been disappointing to say the least.

 

The only solution I have been offered is to move my phone connection to Kpn as well, so I can use some free data for a hotspot. I did that last week based on customer service rep advice and found out the phone connection won't become active for another 10 days. So effectively, now I have an internet connection from Kpn that doesn't work and the "solution" provided is to add a phone connection with Kpn that also now doesn't work.

I request to terminate my KPN internet and tv contract asap with NO financial implications for early termination. I think this is only fair given the inability to provide requested service nor provide any alternate solutions.

Could you please process this immediately, and at least help out in this regard in letting the customer go when the service can't be provided? I really need internet at home and have to go to another provider asap. It's urgent and there is really no time to wait out any other solutions, kindly understand. The family is finding it hard.

Hi ​@TheAverageCustomer, welcome to the community. The emailaddress you used, is not for that purpose. It's meant to send in requested documents. So I don't think your subscription will be stopped that way. On the community we also don't have the option to terminate a subscription. 

The best way to cancel is either using the form on our website (on the right): kpn.com/opzeggen or via phone. The quickest way is to make a callback appointment via our website. That way thew colleagues can also look into your connection and why it isn't working.

In addition, I made complaints about a faulty Kpn tv box and nothing has been done on that account either!
