KPN charges early termination fee or moving abroad

Hi,

I recently canceled my KPN internet subscription because I moved abroad (to the UK). My contract hadn't ended yet, but I sent KPN my official deregistration proof from the Netherlands when I asked for cancellation.

Now I’ve received a bill that includes an early termination fee, even though I thought sending the deregistration document would waive that. I haven’t received any reply from KPN confirming they accepted the proof, which is a bit frustrating.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Or does anyone know how I can get this resolved? I really don’t think I should be paying the fee now that I’ve officially left the country.

Thanks a lot in advance!

Hi @oakyk, welcome to our community, the proof has to be accepted manually but the early termination fee is an automated process. Sometimes that takes a couple of days.
Did you speak to my colleagues about this in the meantime?

The easiest way to speak to my colleagues from abroad is by sending a DM on Facebook or Twitter but you can also use our online contact-form
