Where is the warranty certificate for my Nintendo Switch 2?

I subscribed for internet at home from KPN and selected Nintendo Switch 2 as a welcome gift.

A day before the delivery I received below information via e-mail:

Warranty certificate

In the box, you will find an envelope with a letter from KPN and the warranty certificate for the Nintendo Switch 2.

Keep this warranty certificate safe: you are entitled to a 2-year warranty only with this document. The letter contains a full explanation of how this warranty works.

Unfortunately only a letter from KPN came out in an envelope in the box with the Switch 2 (which describes the conditions etc only, nothing special or unique) but no certificate neither in the box nor in the letter. I just had a call with KPN customer service and they told me that Nintendo is handling the warranty and if needed I can show them my contract. This doesn’t make any sense to be honest, I may gift this to someone else and would need that certificate and expecting to receive it as it is explicitly mentioned to keep it safe.

Am I tripping here? How I can get the certificate?

Hi @BurakT, the warranty certificate is usually printed on the back of the shipping label on the box.

If it's not there or you have any other questions about the welcome gift you can contact our partner:

Hi Thomas, I received the box with an envelope sticked by two sticker inside the box and that envelope only had the letter no certificate.

I will check with them but do you mean in the box or on the box (outside)?

on the outside box, in the plastic compartment with the shipping label

Unfortunately there is no plastic compartment on the box, only a sticker for the parcel with KPN as sender and me as receiver (address details). I think calling them is the only option then?

Yes, I think that's the best course of action. Can you let us know how this turns out?

Hier hetzelfde.

That really doesn’t make much sense to me. That letter is very generic and has no information with the serial number etc. of the device I received. Indeed the e-mail says there should be a certificate and emphasises on to keep it safe there isn’t one. The letter is only about how to contact Nintendo. For instance if I give this to someone else, there is nothing for them to prove the warranty.

Tip: When I called KPN I was told that I might need to get in touch with Nintendo and maybe register with them so I doubt that the customer service on the phone from Sidekix might be tripping. I will give them a call anyways.

Zelfde hier. Alleen een brief van KPN maar geen garantiebewijs. Ook alleen een sticker label op de doos.
