Do I need to replace the fiber box?

Hi everyone!

I'll soon be switching from ziggo to kpn fiber. Apparently, the previous residents of my apartment had kpn. Therefore, I do have the FK-01 fiber box installed in my utilities cabinet.

Do I need to remove the FK-01 and install the new fiber box that kpn will send with the modem? Or can I just use the existing fiber box?

In case I replace it with the new one, are there any special considerations to avoid damaging the fiber connection? (I guess the way to remove it is to just slide it out while pushing the "button" on the top?).

Hi @ThanosPap, if KPN sends you a new one, I would just replace it. When you replace it don't use too much force. Otherwise you could break the connector inside. And don't forget to take off the dust cover.
