Does KPN limit the speed?

When I put in m address I get „500/500“.

I’m paying for 500/500, but 1000/1000 is not able to book.

 

Why?

@FranzG Thanks, I checked it for you and at this moment 1 Gbps is not possible at your adress and I don’t see it planned for the future. What you could do is subscribe to the newsletter of KPNnetwerk, it is in Dutch but maybe you are able to translate it. When there will be an upgrade you will know by the newsletter.

      because the central hubs know as POP are not upgraded to provide 1000 mbs to veryone so they have to cap the speed at 500 or even 200. call it a capacity problem. 

      upgrading is expensive. maybe they will in a few years
