How can I downgrade or cancel my subscription?

I have complete 2 year contract with KPN, and would like to downgrade my speed which is not possible. I would like to cancel the subscription but after filling the cancellation form, it gets error and unable to submit.
I am stuck and can't do anything with the web portal. what a shame.

The quickest and most effective way is to contact customer support.

The phone number is 0800-0402 (or 1200 if you are calling from a KPN mobile connection).

Opening hours:

  • Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 18:00
  • Saturday from 08:00 to 17:00
  • Sunday closed
  • For outages, KPN is available 24/7.

You can also easily schedule a call appointment

Downgrading is not possible with subscription taken after 1 april.

If your contract is longer than 14 days cancelation is also no longer possible. 

Then you'll have to sit it out.

Then he best contact customer service by phone. 

Direct call or call back (at the bottom).

Due to Pentecost customer service is closed on monday.

I can imagine this is frustrating, especially when the cancellation form itself keeps giving an error. I do see that the answers above are correct: if your 2-year contract period has already ended, customer service should be able to help you further with cancelling or looking into alternative options.

Since the portal is not working properly for you, I would recommend scheduling a callback appointment. That is the easiest route in situations like this.

I’m also curious what the main reason is for wanting to cancel your subscription. If you’d like, I’m happy to think along with you here on the community as well. 🙂
